Abstract
The previous chapter introduced the basic concept of CDMA. As we found, unique codes or signatures assigned to users make it possible for a multiple number of users to transmit simultaneously over the same frequency and bandwidth. There are several ways of generating spreading sequences that depend on the desired attributes. This chapter explains the different ways in which these sequences are generatedâspecifically, pseudorandom binary sequences of different types and orthogonal codes.
