Abstract

The fast annealing rates of PGM mean that the index of refraction cannot be controlled as easily as that of fine annealed or coarse annealed glass. Changes in the glass are dependent on the rate of cooling; therefore, subtle changes during processing impact the tolerance on index of refraction.
