Abstract
The dipole antenna, a linear wire antenna, is the most basic type of a radiator. A center-fed dipole of length l consists of two linear conductors of length l/2 separated by a small gap. Dipole antennas can be grouped as infinitesimal dipoles, small dipoles, and finite-length dipoles.
