Abstract
In this paper is described the approximate solution for the LP11 mode of the step-index optical fiber with taking into account the Kerr nonlinearity. The solution is obtained by a known method of Gauss approximation. The special case of only one LP11 mode propagation in lightguide is considered. The calculation of spectral dependencies of equivalent mode spot radius, time delay, chromatic dispersion of first and second order was evaluated. Results of calculation are presented in this paper.
