Abstract
To implement the Alte Land Pflanzenschutzverordnung 2015 (Plant Protection Ordinance in the Area of “Altes Land” in the region near Hamburg Germany) regarding the determination of the exposition classes off the ditch structures in thee “Alte Land”, a method is developed based on current optical satellite data that is intended to support the current manual working method. The focus of the investigation is on the three optical satellites Landsat-8, Seentinel-2 and WWorldView-3. It considers both the potential and possible limitations of this data base in the context of the task. The result of this investigation indicates the suitability of optical satellite data for the tasks under the “Alte Land Pflanzenschutzverordnung” 2015.
