7 March 2019A novel fluorescent gold nanoparticle inhibiting migration and invasion of tumor cells
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) plays an important role in the regulation of invasion and metastasis of tumor cells. In this work, an inhibitory peptide of MMP-2 and MMP-9 was conjugated to gold nanoparticle as an inhibitor to MMP-2 and MMP-9 to improve chemical and physical stability. The results were proved that this nanoparticle showed inhibition on the enzymatic activity of MMP-2 and MMP-9, and significantly inhibited the migration and invasion of tumor cells in vitro. This gold nanoparticle can be functioned as an inhibitor with a more pronounced inhibitory effect on invasion and metastasis of tumor.
