Abstract
Characteristics of underwater imaging optical systems having fields of greater than 170 degrees are discussed. The relative aperture is 1 / 1.8, the underwater field of view is 179°, the focal length is 4.1 mm, and 11 lens are used. The PMMA material is used as a concentric spherical window to correct the image quality deterioration caused by the medium change. The image quality of the lens was evaluated in the paper. The MTF performance at the Nyquist frequency can be kept above 0.3. The RMS radius reaches 2.3 μm.This system is designed with only spherical lens.
