Abstract
Innovations in information sciences coming to fruition in 2021 and beyond are poised to redefine government, industry, and education as we know it today. This talk will focus on technologies that are poised to provide profound advancements in the information sciences domain as well as the implications of these technologies on computer security. Special emphasis will be placed on blockchain inspired architectures and distributed ledgers as well as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) based solutions. The inherent vulnerabilities of these rapidly advancing technologies are of growing concern as investment is made into applying these tools to gain a strategic advantage in speed of response, analysis, and maneuver for both private industry and government applications.
