Abstract
One, two and three photon resonance enhancements in optical hyperpolarizabilities of conjugated organic molecules are reviewed and discussed. Different experiments leading to their observation are described and illustrated with definite examples. These are: harmonic generation, saturation absorption and photoinduced absorption. Practical importance, especially related to optical switching of such resonances is also discussed. 1.
