Abstract
Several factors have been attributed to life expectancy. This research paper seeks to evaluate the factors that affect life expectancy and establish a significant difference in life expectancy between developing and industrialized countries. After conducting the study, the results indicated that factors such as gross domestic product (GDP), schooling, income composition of resources, body mass index (BMI), and alcohol intake significantly impacted life expectancy. Total expenditures did not have a significant impact on life expectancy. GDP, education level, income composition of resources, and BMI positively impacted life expectancy, while alcohol intake had a negative impact on life expectancy. There was also a significant difference in life expectancy between developing and developed countries. Developed countries have a higher life expectancy.
