Abstract
The Air Pollutant Index (API) is an indicator for monitoring or evaluating air quality, that is a legal standard for measuring the degree of air pollution. We determined the survey content based on academic pedigrees, and released data from the Guangzhou Ecological Environment Bureau. It captured the index values of 6 major pollutants in Nansha District from 2016 to 2020, including PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NO2, O3, and CO. We use SPSS and Excel software tools, exploratory analysis and visualization comparison research, and found that: (1) The API of Nansha District has a high frequency of 84.60% in a 5-year cycle, and that has no record of serious pollution. (2) In the whole year cycle, some indicators of air pollutants in Nansha District in April or autumn are relatively large. We further analyzed the above survey results and put forward two constructive suggestions.
