Abstract
We discuss multiyear measurements of aerosol characteristics from polar station Cape Baranov (Bolshevik Island) and from marine expeditions in neighboring regions: eastern part of the Kara Sea and western part of the Laptev Sea. The statistical characteristics of the atmospheric aerosol optical depth, concentrations of two aerosol fractions, and the contents of black, organic, and elemental carbon in the aerosol composition are presented. The interrelation and the difference in diverse aerosol characteristics among the neighboring regions are estimated.
