Abstract
Recycling of organic solvents from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by using macroporous resin has been widely studied as a promising technology for industrial organic waste gas resource treatment. While the easy pulverization of macroporous resin during the adsorption and desorption process is the main challenge for its full-scale implication. In this work, metal foam supported macroporous resin was synthesized to tackle this problem. By using metal foam as support and framework, the stability and recycling performance of deposited macroporous resin was significantly enhanced. Experiment results showed that the skeleton of metal foam provides a confined space, which makes the deposited macroporous resin expands without structure damage. Improved stability of deposited macroporous resin can futhurer enhances the recycling performance of macroporous resin. These findings can guide the rational design of high performance of modified macroporous resin used for the resource treatment of industrial organic waste gas.
