Abstract
The reliability of SMAP salinity data in the Yangtze River estuary and the adjacent sea was verified using in-situ observations in spring, summer, and autumn from 2019 to 2021.SMAP data observation of low-salinity water mass detachment process. Then the SCHISM model was used to reconstruct the diluted water detachment process of the Yangtze River. The results showed that the reliability of the corrected SMAP data had been improved. The detachment process of the low-salted Yangtze River diluted water mass simulated by SCHISM is the same as that was observed by the SMAP satellite, which shows the reliability of SMAP data at the Yangtze River Estuary and adjacent seas.
