Abstract
In the history of aircraft development, the real-time attitude information of an aircraft was reflected through the instrument panel in the cockpit for the first and second generation aircraft. However, since the third generation, the application of Head-Up Displays (HUDs) has centralized these scattered instrument data to show them collectively, achieving a more intuitive effect. This paper focuses on the research of the real-time aircraft attitude display system for a certain type of aircraft HUD simulation process, studies the display algorithm of the system’s attitude indicator, and provides the specific implementation process. Important flight attitude parameters such as sideslip angle, pitch angle, etc., are analyzed and displayed. The motion trend of the attitude indicator allows pilots to understand the flight status of the aircraft itself very intuitively. Therefore, the simulation display of the attitude indicator becomes key in the real-time attitude display system. Especially for the attitude lines, the graphical styles of the zero, positive, and negative scale lines are different, which makes the movement of the attitude scale band relatively complex in the algorithm implementation process. This paper analyzes the overall process and data requirements of the attitude indicator display and presents multiple sets of different basic models in the experiments. At the same time, the paper optimizes the algorithm to improve its efficiency. The experiments show that the algorithm proposed in this paper effectively implements the simulation of the attitude scale band.
