1 August 1990Newly developed hub for optical memory disks
This paper describes the manufacturing process and the characteristics of a metal-containing plastic hub for optical memory disks that use magnetic clamping. A sufficiently high clamping force can be generated with the new hub, and it also has a high abrasion resistance and excellent durability under severe environmental conditions. This hub can be mass produced at a low cost.
