Abstract
High-efficiency CCD array cameras now in use in microscopy have essentially 100% active surface area, so that image pixel values are contiguous-square integrals rather than point samples of the image field. An invertible linear transformation is derived for recovery of the point-sampled image field, the values of which would then be used in further processing.
