Abstract
A novel in-line additive acoustooptic architecture for planar phased arrays is described for two dimensional beam scanning. A concept for an acoustooptic processor is demonstrated in the laboratory, and the required modulo-2 pi phase control is achieved using two control signals. Up to Ku-band operation is possible with this processor.
