Measurements on direct TE01-HE11 mode converters in corrugated waveguide [1] have shown an unconverted amount of 3% of the input TE01-mode, in contrast to theoretical predictions. The mechanical corrugation depth is determined by scaling of the electrical depth of the slots with factors for the normalized admittance for shaped slots from [2]. The deviation of the efficiency from the expected values noticed in the measurements is caused by uncorrect corrugation depth. The measurement results on two different mode converters are presented and discussed.
