Abstract
Generally, 3D-information is obtained through the stereo-vision method, which needs two or more images of an object at different view positions. In this paper, we apply the fractal method to obtain 3D-information from remote sensing images of landscape, which needs only one image. Fractal is a useful method for describing very irregular cases. First, we prove that the remote sensing images of landscape satisfy fractal characteristics. Then, based on this conclusion, according to the relationship between Holder constant (alpha) and scaler T, we calculate the relative depth of each point, deeply, estimate the surface normal direction and area value.
