Abstract
Transversal diffraction autosolitones present in an optical system containing Kerr nonlinear slice, Zernike filter, and a feedback mirror are mathematically described. A model of this system utilizing a liquid crystal-photoconductor spatial light modulator is experimentally investigated. An optical array memory device for digital information storage based on these autosolitones is experimentally developed.
