Abstract
We propose the efficient optical perfect shuffle (PS) interconnection using block-quantized binary phase holograms (BQBPH) method for making the grating of high efficiency which is important in implementing optical PS. The pattern of grating in BQBPH was obtained by computer simulations using iterative method and the diffraction efficiency of designed grating was about 67 percent through BPM simulation. The grating was fabricated using laser beam writer and diffraction efficiency was 47 percent by experimental test. We implemented optical PS using the fabricated grating and showed that optical experimental output patterns were good agreement with PS output patterns.
