Abstract
In order to study the effect of He-Ne laser on peritoneal M(Phi) phagocytosis, and make into inquiry their mechanisms, in this paper, ShenQue acupoint of mice abdomen was irradiated by He-Ne laser at the dosage of 63.7J/cm2 for 3, 5, 7 or 10 days respectively, 5 minutes each day. The results were as follows: 1) The phagocytosis and phagocytic index of M(Phi) of irradiated groups were higher than that of control group. 2) The GN, GA, GN/GA and IOD of non-specific esterase of M(Phi) of irradiated groups were obviously higher than these of the control group. 3) The M(Phi) of the irradiated groups presented more abundant and longer pseudopodia, contains more abundant lysosomes and phagosomes that of the control group. The results demonstrated that He- Ne laser with appropriate dosage can activate the macrophages and enhance organic immunity.
