Abstract
This paper is concerned with an application of the computer control technique in an intelligent system for testing inner walls of pipes. This system uses an omnibearing optoelectronic detector as the special purpose input device, and a microcomputer as the master controller for the image detection and accurate fixed position to the detector at arbitrary moment, which is primarily used for real-time inspecting and recognizing the quality of inner walls of high-accuracy metal pipes in the oil and chemical industry, and which fundamental functions include the information acquisition, image processing and recognition, classification and output display.
