6 July 1999Quasi-distributed optical fiber sensor for strain measurement along power conductors
A quasi distributed optical fiber sensor is proposed, aimed to measure strain in electrical power conductor cables. The sensor uses a series of Bragg gratings as optical transducer elements along the conductor. Preliminary results are presented.
