Abstract
CTA and MRA have established themselves as important complementary techniques to conventional angiography. Both of these techniques require advanced vascular visualization as part of their clinical protocols. Among the important requirements for vascular visualization are the detection of small pathologies and the perception of the relationship between vascular structures. Depending on the acquisition modality and the location of the pathology, different 3D visualization techniques are used. With any of these techniques, interactivity significantly improves the clinical understanding of the study. We will show in this case study, how IAP, a platform product specifically designed for medical imaging applications, addresses these requirements. Specifically, we will analyze two studies involving two different types of vascular structures.
