Abstract

Seven homologous series of 4-n-alkylphenyl 4'-(trans-5-n-alkyl-l,3-dioxan-2-yl) benzoates and twenty five isomeric 4-(trans-5-n-alkyl-l,3-dioxan-2-yl) phenyl 4'-n-alkylbenzoates have been synthesized, both R and R' being normal alkyl groups from C₂ to C₈.
