Abstract
Up to date Tsinghua University has almost taken part in all major/grand projects associated with optical networks which are supported by Nature Science Fund of China or by National High Technology Program during the 9th and the 10th National Five-Year-Plan. This paper presents a survey on these projects and their achievements.
