Abstract
We present a further development of the proposed by us an injection-locking technique for all-optical and high gain (~103-106) amplification of a periodically modulated (PM) intensity, low power (~μW), laser radiation. The problem that limits the use of standard injection locking optical amplifier is to obtain a linear response to the PM injection. We have solved this problem by introducing a competitive CW injection in appropriate ring and linear schemes and have carried out previously the detailed consideration for the sinus low modulated radiation. Here we report the application of our original technique for amplification of information sequences of rectangular pulses. The amplifier operation is modeled with the rate differential equations system. We have shown the applicability of the proposed technique for amplification of pulses with repetition rate more than 40 MHz and in special conditions-to approximately 128 MHz without loss of the information capability. The pumping is with 100-250 MHz mode locked Nd:YAG laser (0.53 μm harmonic). The consideration is on the example of Rhodamin 6G dye laser. The pulses with peak power of 0.1μ W to 200 μW are amplified by factor of 109-106 (to more than 2000 W).
