Abstract
The combination of Web Services and GIS is becoming the main research focus. Today, with the constant enrichment of GIS Web Services, the challenge is how to dynamically combine those existing GIS Web Services to implement more complex tasks, so as to achieve on-demand integration of distributed geo-spatial information. GIS services chain is an effective solution for the integration of distributed heterogeneous GIS. Dynamic discovery and combination of GIS services are the two main concerns in the research of GIS service chain. This paper proposes a service dynamic selection mechanism, which is implemented based on the semantic description of services interfaces and users requirements. A prototype of distributed GIS Service chain is given which implements the dynamic selection mechanism.
