Abstract
With the upgrading requirements for the urban space environment quality, the traditional two-dimensional analysis software cannot meet the growing demand for multi-dimensional dynamic space analysis. This article is written by practicing the development of three-dimensional analysis software which programs on the basis of controlling piece of CCGIS's control GeoDEM. Based on the development of 3D analysis software for urban planning with GeoDEM, this article presents the issues to be taken care when developing the 3D analysis software for urban planning as well as the difficulties and knots met in the course of developing, and proposes possible solutions.
