Abstract
We showed the application of the three cornered hat method to estimate the absolute frequency stability of three semiconductor lasers stabilized to the D2 line of 133Cs (852 nm). We estimated the relative frequency stabilities between couples of lasers using the beat frequencies measurements and calculating the Allan variance. Neglecting the correlation terms between lasers, it is possible to establish a group of equations which relate the absolute stability in terms of the relative stability. We found stability values of about 1x10-10 for averaging time of 1 second and 1x10-12 for averaging time of 1 hour. The results are in agreement with the resonance spectrum linewidth of Cesium and the lasers linewidth.
