Abstract
The paper concerns the shape distortions observed in transmission lines used for delaying fast pulse signals e.g. in Y - channels of high - speed oscilloscopes. Such delay lines should introduce no distortions at all. Yet not having possibility to avoid the skin-effects, there exists a need of at least estimation of pulse shape changes caused by skin effect for given realisation of the delay line. This paper shows an attempt to such an estimation using well-known simulator from PSPICE family.
