Abstract
Fluid dynamic processes in COIL medium represents considerable difference as compared with any other types of cw CL flows because of high Damkerrer number, high thermal factor as well as low Reynolds number. Experimental diagnostics of the COIL AM flowfields by traditional gas-dynamic measuring techniques is restricted due to low static pressure and chemical reactions. Therefore numerical simulation represents the main instrument for investigation. Numerical and experimental results as well as corresponding techniques and verification procedures are presented in the paper related to flows in two main parts of COIL: supersonic diffuser (SD) and nozzle bank (NB).
