Abstract
Fast development of information technologies results the need to use information characteristics in order to describe the optical and optoelectronic devices. The statements formulated in the information theory for the communication systems can be also used in information optics, if the optical field digitization problem is solved. The problems which proceed from different possibilities of light signal and field digitization, are considered below.
