Abstract
Comparing the flat topographical area, it is difficult to extract soil erosion in the complex one. RUSLE is the most comprehensive experimental model for soil erosion, but it is suitable for the flat topographical area. So it is necessary to study suitable algorithm for the complex topographical region. The paper proposes new algorithm for topographical factor and cover-management factor that are affected by complex topography seriously, including topographical factor calculation for steep slope and vegetation fraction extraction based on remote sensing classification. The test indicates the algorithms are more effective than the normal algorithms of RUSLE.
