Abstract
This work proposes to analyze the behavior of austenitic manganese - Hadfield steel during laser beam welding in continuous regime. In order to limit the number of experiments, a 24 type factorial experiment was used, with 16 assays, after a frequently used program matrix for these situations. Fusion lines at different service regimes, as well as head to head welds were performed. Microhardness measurements and microstructure modifications that appear as an effect of laser irradiation are also analyzed.
