14 November 2007Building outline detection based on height and intensity information from airborne LIDAR system
The paper presents a new automatic method to detect the outline of buildings based on height and Intensity from
Airborne LiDAR system. The main idea of the method is to detect outline of buildings using SVM (Support vector
machine) training knowledge obtained from the artificial interpretation of the training data. Support vector machines
(SVMs) are a set of related supervised learning methods used for classification and regression. Experiments using real
data are presented and show the feasibility of the suggested approach.
