Abstract
The European Southern Observatory has recently merged the operations of its three Chilean sites, La Silla, Paranal/VLT, and Chajnantor APEX, into one observatory, the La Silla Paranal Observatory. Recent developments, latest achievements and future challenges at the different sites are presented in this paper.
