Abstract
In this article it is shown that Helmholtz equations describe a special case of spherical symmetric fields of the electromagnetic field from the whole range of vortical fields. The author considers the solution of the wave equation and shows that Helmholtz equations give a good approximation for spacially 1-D and 2-D structures. However, they give quite different results under the analysis and calculations for 3-D structures.
