Abstract
Bases on inverse piezoelectric effect of piezoceramics, element of piezoelectric actuator were made from combination of piezoelectric bimorphs. Piezoelectric bimorph cantilever vibration under electrical exciting signals was studied. Piezoelectric motor of the friction style was made based on the concept that frictional and inertial force can drive the rotor and give output torque. Due to electromechanical coupling characteristics of piezoceramics, the finite element method was applied to mechanical and electrical analysis of piezoelectric motor. Element of piezoelectric actuator of motor was dispersed a series of tetrahedron cells, from which the finite element model was obtained by piezoelectric constitutive equations coupling finite element model of displacement and electricity. Numerical result agrees with the experiments, which verifies the rationality of piezoelectric motor using the distortion of piezoelectric bimorphs. The method guides the design, manufacture and test of piezoelectric motor.
