3 November 2010 A GIServices-based transportation information resources integration platform

With fast development of urban informationalization, digital city and digital traffic, cross-sectoral and inter-departmental cooperation become increasingly needed. It is of difficulty for GIS system construction to break the information fragmentation, realize the heterogeneous and multi-source geospatial related information integration, sharing and interoperability. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an effective solution to provide data access and application service by Web Services. The combination of GIS and SOA can help GIS business agility, change traditional GIS design, development and application patterns, which promote the conversion of visible GISystems to invisible GIServices. Based on the construction of dynamic transportation data exchange GIService and dynamic path planning GIService, and its integrated application of WebGIS transportation information service system, this paper presents the overall structure of the transportation information resources integration platform, which realizes transportation information resources integration, traffic block information submitting, information exchanging, traffic information query, dynamic traffic information publishing, and dynamic best path query, etc.. The application result proves that it is a better solution for transportation information resources sharing, and it also changes the traditional GIS design, development and application patterns.
