Abstract
A fiber-coupled superconducting nanowire single photon detector is presented considering practical applications. The system performances, such as dark count rate, system efficiency and noise equivalent power, are discussed. A system efficiency of 3% (1550 nm) and a dark count rate of 10 Hz at 4.2 K were achieved in experiment.
