Abstract
Since physical measures (such as SiTF, NEDT, and MTF) are straightforward and well defined, they are easily automated (Figure 11-1). This figure is identical to the test setups recommended for nearly all tests listed in the previous chapters. What cannot be seen is the software that controls the system. The software sequences though the various tests without operator intervention. It applies the appropriate statistical analyses and prints the test results. While production testing may simply require “pass/fail,” stored data are always available for complete evaluation.
