Abstract
The responsivity function is the input-to-output transformation in which the target size is fixed and the target intensity is varied. It provides information on gain, linearity, dynamic range, and saturation. The signal transfer function (SiTF) or responsivity is the linear portion of the responsivity function and is a commonly used parameter to assess performance. Because a large target is used (compared to the DAS), the responsivity is sometimes called the low-frequency response.
