Abstract

The recursive filtering algorithm, a simple method of filtering electronic speckle pattern interferometric (ESPI) images, is presented and studied. Application software is specially developed for the new method. Experimental demonstration shows that the technique is the most effective and speedy method for the filtering of ESPI fringe patterns so far.
