Abstract
The suppression of degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) between pumps is demonstrated. By choosing proper fiber length, pump wavelengths, and pump powers, the DFWM between pumps can be completely suppressed. The characteristics of the parametric gain are also investigated, and some important conclusions are drawn.
