Standards provide bases for comparison of performance of measuring devices used in any field of instrumentation. To establish tolerances, the performance of many instruments must be measured and analyzed. A method of analysis employed in setting performance requirements covering distortion and resolution of lenses used in photo-grammetric cameras is described.

There are many applications for optical fiber assemblies. This paper describes some optical fiber assemblies that have been constructed and presents some details on methods of fabrication.

This paper reviews the mathematical basis for the selection of critical photographic variables. These general relationships are evaluated using information on atmospheric contrast transmittance and turbulence over a 20 mile path recently gathered by Aero-nutronic under contract to the USAF Avionics Laboratory. The interdependence of atmospheric and photographic variables is explored. The minimum energy per solid angle required to allow a given film resolution is defined.

A technique is described wherein nearly conventional techniques are employed to make photographic records which are then projected in such a way that they can be viewed stereoscopically.
