Dr. Gueddana is currently an assistant professor of Telecommunications at the University of Carthage, Tunisia, since 2015. He is a member of the Theoretical & Experimental Epistemology Lab (TEEL) at the University of Waterloo, ON, Canada. Dr. Gueddana obtained his PhD degree in information and communication technologies in 2014 from the Gres'Com lab. at Sup'Com, University of Carthage, Tunisia. His research interests are in quantum computing and quantum information/cryptography and has 20 publications in these areas. A major area of interest is on deterministic photonics based CNOT gates.
Dr. Gueddana’s most significant research contributions are related to the optimization of the CNOT based on quantum dot spin in a double sided optical microcavity. He has also worked on Grover’s algorithm for database search applications, and the possibility of using the CNOT for physical circuit realization of this algorithm. Other areas of interest include Quantum Key Distribution Protocol (QKDP) systems, and a major contribution has been the introduction of quantum dense coding techniques in QKDP
