SC177: Introduction to Data Mining: Concepts, Practices, and Research
This course provides an introduction to data preparation, algorithms and commonly used techniques for data mining. Cases illustrating successful and unsuccessful use of data mining techniques are presented. Emphasis is on applying methods such as clustering, classification and association rule discovery to signals and images. Current research trends and recent research work in this area is discussed to provide a sense of the future directions in this area.
